Rescuers still needed in December & January!

Its not too late to help! There are still thousands of abandonded animals, hiding under houses - that are in dire need of help. They've been kept alive this long by feeding stations but volunteers are still very much needed. Check out how and where to go.

Hi everyone, thanks so much for the great work that you have. I reside in Saskatoon, Sask. Canada, and have been to New Olreans and area four times since Katrina hit to lend a hand whereever needed. Mostly on the human side of things. I want to focus my attention on animals on my next visit, that will hopefully be in August/September of 2007. I was wondering if someone could let me know of any organization that requires some assistance with there animals, etc. We currenly have in our home a 8 week old male br. choclate lab, 12 yr. old male bassett hound, and a cate (that was from a street rescue program) in our city. I am a reg. nurse, not a vet, but I truly feel for these animals, having seen there circumstances on all of my last visits. In fact, I will encourage all of my friends in New Orleans that they need to get involved with helping out. So again, please let me know what I can do to help out.

All the best
